This document, delivered in the context of the SPIRIT project, is aimed at developing proposals for policy-makers from Uganda in order to foster the implementation of innovations along the potato value chain through modifications in existing policies, regulations and standards.
The development of a business and legal environment that promotes innovation along the potato value chain and other relevant agro-food value chains is of key relevance for Uganda.Through the establishment of policies, policy-makers play a key role for fostering the adoption and even the generation of innovative technologies and practices by potato value chain actors.
These policies, regulations and standards are continuously subject to review to prevent them from blocking the adoption of the new technological advances.
